Volunteer

Our parent and community volunteers are the “Key” to our success! We truly have World Class Volunteers at Huffman! We appreciate all the volunteer hours committed to our school and PTA programs.

How to Volunteer
Volunteers must turn in required forms and complete a criminal background check through PISD each year in order to volunteer at school. Please complete the following 3 steps to become a registered volunteer.

1. Download the Volunteer Form (PDF File) turn in at the school office where they can notarize this form for you
2. Complete the online Criminal Background Check & volunteer application on the PISD Volunteer Website (this must be done every year!)
3.
Fill out our online Huffman PTA Volunteer Opportunity Form (coming soon!) or email Traci Koen, volunteers@huffmanpta.org  with how you are able to volunteer (see ideas below!)

Remember to renew your volunteer application each year! You can do this online starting in July at the
PISD Volunteer Website. Volunteer checks must be completed annually AFTER July 1!

Volunteer Opportunities at Huffman
Volunteering is a way to make a difference in your child's school life while meeting other marvelous Huffman parents. The opportunities are rewarding, fun and varied. There is an opportunity for everyone to help- in the school, after school, even on the weekends. Many of the jobs are flexible and be done when you have the time. Every bit helps!
