Nut Allergies Dear Parents, We have several students at Huffman who have a moderate/severe/life threatening allergy to nuts.  While we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment, with your help, we can attempt to accommodate these students in their classroom setting. Therefore, we are requesting that no nut snacks be sent to school with your child at this time.  This may include, but is not limited to candies with nuts, etc.  If your child does bring nut snacks and/or lunch items, we request that you notify the school in advance, to allow us sufficient time to arrange for other accommodations for the student.  In addition, please reinforce our instruction for proper hand-washing with soap and water after eating, in order to minimize the risk to the student’s health.
